| Waves Landing is located on Highway 12, just after milepost 41 in the village of Waves, Hatteras Island, NC. Waves Landing is a traditional Hatteras style home tucked away on a private lot directly on the Pamlico Sound. It is a more quiet and private place than most other beach houses because of its soundfront location. Though walking over to the beach is not a problem—takes about 10 minutes. Waves Landing has more of an “island” feel and décor than the typical Hatteras beach rental house. Waves Landing is the perfect place for the windsurfers, kiteboarders, and kayakers. The back yard is grass and dry for about 75 feet to the water’s edge. This makes for a perfect launch area for kite boarding, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. We added a 35' dock that we hope you enjoy as much as we do. Lockable under house storage is available, as well as decking for storing kayaks and other gear. Shops selling equipment and apparel or offering rentals and wind sports lessons are within walking distance, e.g., Real Kiteboarding, www.realkiteboarding.com or down the road in Avon, Ocean Air Sports www.oceanairsports.com Since this unique location offers completely unobstructed sound views from the ground level of the cottage, Waves Landing’s main living area is located on the first floor. The first floor includes a spacious living room, with gas fireplace (off season use only), a well-stocked kitchen and dining area. There is a master suite on the first floor as well as a powder room and laundry room. Directly off of the first floor is a screened in porch, open deck facing the sound and a covered front porch. The second floor has a loft that looks over the living room, which has great sound views. It also has another master suite and two other bedrooms that share a large bathroom. One bedroom has twin beds and the other bedroom has a pyramid bunk with trundle. All bedrooms in Waves Landing have direct access to decks for some private time. There is a private pool and hot tub for guest use. You won’t find a nicer place on Hatteras to watch the sun go down. Charge up the camera for many sunset photos.
